Apostle Joyce E. Scott

Apostle Joyce E. Scott is a visionary leader, socially-active entrepreneur, life coach, and the founding pastor of New Life Ministries International in Chester, Pennsylvania. Well known for her generous heart of compassion and love, Apostle Scott was passionate about helping to bring a better quality of life, not only to the NLMI church family, but to others in their surrounding communities, the nation and the world. Her objective, in keeping with the mission for her outreach, “Project Vision,” is to carry out the God-given mandate to show others the love of God, through actions and deeds, and “Reach the World with New Life.”

Established in 1983, NLMI is a spiritually vibrant ministry rooted and grounded in the Word of God with prayer, faith and a dedication to the love walk as the foundation. A gifted communicator, Apostle Scott taught, empowered, strengthened, and developed the whole man; spirit, soul, and body by delivering sound biblical truths with simplicity. She was widely recognized for making the Bible relatable, tangible, and obtainable to every person.

Apostle Scott’s passion to help others extends into the educational and business arena, where she sat on the prestigious Neumann University Advisory Board for its Center for Community Leadership and Entrepreneurship. She was also actively engaged in the social arena, both nationally and internationally, to end hunger, violence and other social and spiritual ills.

In this role, Apostle Scott oversees ministries within the United States, South Africa and West Africa. She traveled and ministered extensively around the world giving people the tools needed for living a victorious life in Christ. Her multifaceted ministry extends into Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as well as into Ghana, West Africa and Liberia. Apostle Scott has helped to establish Christian schools and churches which educated and provided much needed medical assistance to over 3,000 children. Moreover her travels have taken her to South Africa, where she has ministered in many provinces, including Cape Town, Nigeria, Johannesburg, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, and Soweto.

In recognition of their ongoing social concern and contributions, Apostle Scott was among a team of ministers from different countries who were honored by being invited to meet with the Under Secretary-General of the United Nations to discuss South African issues. Looking toward the future, Apostle Scott plans to establish a shelter to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual nurturing to young women and girls in Africa.

Whether in America or on foreign soil, Apostle Scott remains firm in her commitment to help people see that obtaining a better quality of life is a tangible reality. Fueled with divine passion, she helped the hurting to change their mindsets, rebuild their lives and overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles. For these tireless efforts both in America and around the world, she received numerous citations and proclamations from ministries, community organizations, as well as city and state governments.

In keeping with her overall vision, Apostle Scott was uniquely equipped to work one-on-one with individuals, pastors, and other leaders as a skilled life coach. Affectionately referred to as a “life coach to many,” and a “pastor to pastors,” she was widely known for her wisdom to assess needs and give

Apostle Scott attended Jameson Bible Institute and Deliverance Evangelistic Bible Institute in Philadelphia, prior to continuing her studies at Rhema Bible Training College in Tulsa Oklahoma, where she received her ministerial license and pastoral ordination respectively. In recognition of her many pioneering efforts, she later received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from United Christian College in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Subsequently, being a woman of wisdom, integrity, commitment to character, and demonstrated results, she was consecrated and affirmed to the office of Apostle in accordance with the Holy Scriptures on April 8, 2010.

Apostle Scott’s objective is to carry out the special mandate given to her by God, to reach the city of Chester, to train and develop warriors in the realm of the spirit, whereby the Kingdom of God can be established and the commission fulfilled, which is “Reaching the World with New Life.”
